Meet Dr Samantha McLean
Dr Samantha McLean is a Clinical Neuropsychologist based on the NSW Central Coast, with extensive experience in child, adolescent, and adult neuropsychology. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University in 2013 and has since dedicated her career to understanding and supporting cognitive development in young people.
In addition to private practice, Samantha previously worked at The Children's Hospital at Westmead within the Neurology and Neurosurgery department, where she provided assessment, diagnosis, and management for children with epilepsy, neurological conditions, and associated cognitive challenges.
She has a particular interest in ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders, and Intellectual Disability, and is trained in gold-standard autism assessment tools including ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
Following her Doctorate, Samantha has completed additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) through the Beck Institute, and in Schema Therapy through Schema Therapy Online, taught by globally recognised experts. She is also an accredited provider of the Cool Kids program.
Samantha is a registered Clinical Neuropsychologist with the Australian Board of Psychology, and a Board-Approved Supervisor.
